Remember Blackbaud's old headquarters? If you ever took the wrong exit to get to Daniel Island, you most likely saw it between Clement's Ferry and your destination. This plot of land was also once home to The Charleston Battery, who have now moved locations. Blackbaud has moved as well, leaving this parcel empty and desolate, but developers have planned a way to revitalize the space into a usable and animated part of the city. Across from the future site of Nowell Creek Village, a 38-unit hotel is planned to be built alongside cottages and recreational space. This boutique hotel will be waterfront and a perfect venue for larger events. For now, not much has happened to the site, but developers are hopeful to see their vision come to life. The City of Charleston Design Review Board voted 6-0 in approval with minor changes to the design. We will keep you updated with any further developm
ents.
