The new development on the Cooper River, The Cooper hotel, will be completed in the coming years, replacing the site of the old South Carolina Port Authority Office. Nestled in between Vendue Range and Cumberland Street, the hotel will be the Peninsula's first on the water. Developed by the Lowe company, the hotel intends to expand Joe Riley park as well as to provide a better developed entrance to Fleet Landing.
